Doge’s Palace, Venice

The Doge’s Palace is built in the Venetian Gothic style was designed as the residence of the Doge, the ruler of Venice, built originally 1340. The site has been used as a palace from the 10^th century. Each of the grand chambers and senate rooms are richly decorated with marble and elaborate guild work.
